This project aims to encourage safe and healthy lifestyles through an improved sense of security, enhanced street crossings, fitness and play amenities, native and CA-friendly landscaping, and further opportunities for walking and jogging in addition to improvements to the bike path. The goal is to revitalize the Creek Trail Corridor through enhanced activities and partnerships with local businesses, artists, schools, and other organizations.
Construction for the Escondido Creek trail began in February 2025.
- Work will take place from Citracado Parkway to North Midway Drive, with construction generally moving from west to east.
- Construction hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of City-recognized holidays.
The project is expected to be completed in late 2025, pending any unforeseen delays.
